DTP Designer (Durban)

Job description

Junior/Mid-Weight DTP Designer responsible for producing high-quality artwork and marketing materials across print and digital platforms. The role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong design and artwork production skills who can accurately interpret brand guidelines and retailer specifications while working efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will work on the Tevo stable of brands, including AEG, Bennett Read and Magneto Renewable Energy. 
The successful candidate will collaborate closely with designers, product managers, marketing teams, and external suppliers to create retail-ready promotional material, packaging updates, catalogues, point-of-sale material, and other marketing collateral.

Artwork production and design:

• Produce and adapt artwork for print and digital marketing campaigns. 
• Create retail-ready promotional material, packaging updates, user manuals, catalogues, POS material, and marketing collateral. 
• Ensure artwork is prepared accurately for final production and print.

Brand compliance and quality assurance: 

• Ensure all creative work adheres to established brand guidelines and retailer specifications.
• Conduct thorough quality checks to ensure accuracy, consistency, and print readiness. 

Collaboration and Communication: 

• Work closely with designers, product managers, marketing teams, and external suppliers. 

Project management:

• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines. 
• Prioritise tasks effectively to ensure timely delivery. 

Continuous Improvement:

• Identify opportunities to improve artwork processes and creative output. 

Requirements

• 2-5 years experience in a DTP or graphic design role 
• Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop 
• Solid understanding of print production processes and artwork setup 
• AI image generation 
• Ability to interpret and apply brand guidelines consistently 
• Strong organisational and time-management skills 
• Excellent attention to detail and quality control
